Aristo Scarf

€6.50

The Aristo Scarf design is based on modern and urban life with respecting and recognizing the traditions. In this design, I wanted to mix traditional knitting with modern knitting, each represented by the Chevron Eyelet and slip stitch patterns. In my designs I like to show my respect to what our ancestors built in our knitting heritage, and let my modern soul become one with that tradition as a body in harmony and in one piece.

Details: This scarf has a very simple pattern and knitters with all levels of knitting skills and experiences can work on this project. This scarf can easily be turned into a wider version to be a wrap or even a bigger one and become a blanket. The knitted sample and the instructions measurements are flexible so make a scarf with measurements you like if you are not happy with the length and width of this sample, just have it in mind that the yarn amount will change. Gather as many colors as you want or just go with two colors, it’s time to get creative and bust a stash!

Size: one size (easily adjustable for desired length and width, however the amount of yarn will differ from the sample and initial design of this instruction.)

Finished Measurements: Approx. 165 cm length and 32 cm width after blocking.

Yarn (used in the sample): Approx. 370 g SW Merino, DK weight, 200m (219 yards) per 100g.

Note: Pattern can easily be worked with other weights such as worsted, sport or Aran; it can be worked marled, or double stranded with silk lace and similar weights.

Shown in: Mira Isan Studio Merino DK in 4 colorways:

Yarn A: Austen - 2 skeins

Yarn B: Galileo - 1 skein

Yarn C: Newton - 1 skein

Yarn D: Pascal - 1 skein

Needles: US 4 / 3.50 mm, 32” / 80 cm circular needles.

Notions: row counter

Gauge: 20-21 sts x 30 rows to 4” / 10 cm, in ‘Chevron Eyelet’ stitch pattern after blocking.
